Barretts Equine Limited and Live Global
Bid have combined to offer enhanced bidding capabilities for all
upcoming sales that will be conducted at the Barretts Sales Pavilion
located in Pomona, CA.
You will have to re-register for EACH Barretts Auction in order to bid on-line for the auction.
YOU
DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER TO BID IN ORDER TO VIEW THE AUCTION ON-LINE.
The enhanced capability
being offered is Online Interactive Bidding. Working in conjunction
with the live auction activity, Live Global Bid's Internet auction
solution will allow Barretts consignors to reach a worldwide audience
for their offerings. Online bidders will hear all audio in real-time,
will see current auctioneer ask price in real-time and be able to offer
bids on all offered lots, simultaneously with the live auction crowd.
Barretts Auctioneers will be notified of all active bids being offered
online throughout the event.
PLEASE
NOTE: This capability works best with high speed internet access
(such as DSL or T1 lines). It may NOT be adequate for those
using dial up modems.
The auction ring will be presented with
a live video feed and will be web-cast to the Internet. Complete
audio of the sale will be made delivered to the Internet as well.
Audio available will include: auctioneer calls, current asking price
and all descriptive information will be delivered to online participants
for a real-time auction "experience".
All
potential purchasers must be registered to bid in
advance if bidding is desired. No guarantees can be made to those
applying for this capability on sale day.
We encourage you to have the horse(s)
inspected in advance of the sale. Please read the Conditions
of Sale as you are bound by them whether or not you have read
them.
Please be advised that if you are
the winning bidder, you must make immediate arrangements for the
feeding, care, transportation, insurance (if desired) for each horse
purchased.
